2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer – Join a High-Performance IT Team!

Watford | Full-time | Office-based (5 days) | £34,000 – £36,000

Ready to step into a role where your technical skills actually get used, stretched, and appreciated? A leading Managed Service Provider is expanding its dynamic support team and is on the hunt for a driven, talented, and hands-on 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer.

Key Responsibilities of the 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer:

You’ll be the go-to expert for a wide range of external clients, delivering exceptional support across varied IT environments. Every day brings something new, and you’ll be right at the heart of it:

* Proactive monitoring of IT systems
* Helpdesk and incident management
* Remote and onsite technical support
* Configuring users, PCs, and servers
* Router/Firewall setup, configuration & troubleshooting
* Performing key system checks, including backups and AV monitoring/reporting

Tech You’ll Be Working With:

We're looking for breadth, depth, and confidence across core Windows and cloud technologies. Your background should include solid hands-on experience with:

* Active Directory (Windows Server 2016+)
* PowerShell scripting
* Microsoft SharePoint
* Microsoft Office 365
* Remote Desktop Services
* Windows 11
* Networking & TCP/IP
* Backup applications & monitoring tools

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to bring:

* 3+ years experience in IT support (2nd/3rd Line)
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
* The ability to stay calm, organised and effective under pressure
* A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies
* A full UK driving licence
* Eligibility to work in the UK

Working Hours:

* Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
* This is an office-based role — no hybrid working.
