What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
* Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
* Experience of working with SEN children
* Willingness to participate in a general TA induction programme
* Knowledge of special educational needs and experience of enabling those with ASD
* Awareness of and willingness to promote the school's social inclusion policies and practices
* Ability to use basic technology (photo-copier, computer, video and digital camera)
* Ability to create displays and assist with projects and everyday work
* Able to communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff
* Able to motivate and encourage pupils
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the school child protection policy is adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with this policy. It is extremely important that the candidate enjoys working with children so that they can deal with all situations in a caring and empathetic manner.
