The day‑to‑day responsibilities include assessment, planning and delivery of person‑centred nursing care, safe medication administration, promotion of health and wellbeing, serving as Nurse in Charge of a small unit during shifts, managing behaviours of concern, and promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Assess, plan and provide person‑centred nursing care for residents.</li><li>Administer medication safely and accurately.</li><li>Promote health and wellbeing of residents.</li><li>Serve as Nurse in Charge of a small unit during shifts.</li><li>Manage situations involving behaviours of concern.</li><li>Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.</li><li>Act as a role model, coach, tutor and support colleagues.</li><li>Remain calm and defuse challenging situations.</li><li>Advocate best practice in nursing.</li><li>Demonstrate a range of clinical skills.</li><li>Be knowledgeable about assessment, admission and discharge processes.</li><li>Understand and apply the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Codes of Practice.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Must hold a first‑level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
