0.8 FTE, Fixed term contract until August 2026
GROWS is a collaborative partnership of higher education providers in Gloucestershire, led by the University of Gloucestershire. Since 2017, GROWS has been delivering the Office for Students-funded Uni Connect programme, which aims to improve access to higher education for young people from underrepresented groups.
The programme is currently funded until August 2026, with the potential for continuation beyond this date
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organised Operations Manager to lead the delivery of a developed progressive programme—as part of the GROWS collaborative, county-wide education outreach initiative aimed at raising aspirations and progression to higher education across Gloucestershire.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a progressive programme of widening participation activities in targeted schools and colleges. This includes working closely with school leaders and partner institutions to ensure engaging, impactful sessions are delivered on time and within budget, both in school and on campus.
You will co-ordinate and manage a varied and dynamic programme, manage delivery staff (including variable-hours staff), track performance, monitor data, and ensure the work is aligned with the Office for Students' Uni Connect programme objectives. You will also support governance, evaluation, and reporting activities across the project.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people across Gloucestershire by ensuring they are fully informed about their future options and inspired to pursue higher education.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience managing complex projects or outreach programmes, ideally in a WP or an educational context.
* Builds strong working relationships with colleagues, schools, and partner organisations.
* Is organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across schools, teams, and locations.
* Can confidently coordinate staff and monitor delivery performance to ensure high-quality outcomes.
