About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Restaurants Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in leading a dynamic team of up to 15 talented individuals. At Butlin's, making our guests smile is at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll ensure that they remain the central focus of all operational decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Resource planning, recruitment, and selection to build the best team for delivering exceptional service.
* Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
* Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to high standards.
* Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
* Inspiring your team through training schedules and performance development plans.
Join us in leading our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your team’s skills while serving guests who have booked a half-board dining package. Variety is the spice of life, and we can’t wait for you to bring your unique flair to our kitchen!
About You
We’re looking for passionate individuals with experience in a similar role, or those eager to step up in their kitchen career. Here’s what we’re seeking:
* A hardworking and determined individual who thrives on getting things done.
* Energetic and enthusiastic team players who understand the value of enhancing the guest experience.
* A Level 3 Food Safety qualification and confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong management skills in controlling costs and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Note: This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours. Flexibility is key, as some shifts may extend late into the night, with 4am finishes involved. Plus, there’s a bonus scheme to sweeten the deal!
