About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Restaurants Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a vital part in running our kitchen while leading a fantastic team of talented chefs. You’ll step up in the Kitchen Manager's absence, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine through as you monitor and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll support and grow your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure the presentation of our delicious food is top-notch.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to our high standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations in line with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll ensure training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team, inspiring them to create memorable experiences for our guests every time. To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification
* Confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Experience managing margins and controlling costs
* Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, so flexibility is essential. Working during our fantastic adult breaks means some shifts may go late into the night, with 4am finishes involved.
