For children. For families. For the Community.
TSH is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation, registered charity, independent school and NDIS provider that has helped children with speech, language and hearing difficulties lead fulfilling lives since 1966.
About Us
We are a proud Western Australian success story and a family centred practice. TSH (formally Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.
About the Role
TSH runs impactful community-based ear health programs across WA. These programs focus on the early detection of hearing and ear health problems in children in metropolitan and rural locations we work with local communities to serve thousands of families across the region each year.
We currently have an opportunity for a unique and nurturing individual to undertake the role of Nurse Practitioner on a casual basis.
The Nurse Practitioner is a key member of the TSH Clinical Outreach Team, working collaboratively to deliver culturally responsive ear and hearing health services, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, for children in regional and remote communities.
This role plays a vital part in reducing the incidence of middle ear disease in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and at-risk children, helping them succeed at school and reach their full potential.
As this role provides ongoing medical treatment and management for children and adults in areas where there is poor access to health services, the successful candidate must be able to work in a range of rural locations including fly-in/fly-out or drive-in/drive-out clinics as well as provide services in hospital and non-hospital settings.
Clinics vary from single day drive in and drive out clinics in Wheatbelt locations, to fly-in fly-out clinics of up to a week in the Pilbara. Advanced notice of clinic dates will be provided.
