They are seeking to employ a Junior Civil Engineer to join their Water and Wastewater Infrastructure team.Our client have a multidisciplinary team of experts that spans diverse fields, including civil and structural engineering, water engineering, building services engineering, project management, building surveying, town planning, environmental specialists, and asset management. Your new role The talented Junior Engineer will join the Water Team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with limited experience in water engineering to develop their skills in a collaborative and innovative work environment.Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the design and analysis of water-related engineering projects, including water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
2. Support the preparation of status reports, basis-of-design descriptions, and other project-related documentation.
3. Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses for water infrastructure projects.
4. Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
5. Support the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
6. Ensure standard engineering practices and the inclusion of appropriate documentation in various reports and design projects.
7. Provide construction administration support, including reviewing construction submittals forpliance with project documents, responding to contractor requests for information (RFIs), and inspectingpleted work forpliance with construction documents.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates are expected to have the following:
8. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
9. A strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for water engineering.
10. Excellentmunication and teamwork skills.
11. The ability to work under the guidance of experienced engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
12. Proficiency in engineering software like Autocad, Civil3d,ICM, Microdrainage is required.
13. Must be familiar with implementing Eurocodes, Specification for Highway Works, The Civil Engineering Specification for the Water Industry and Sewers For Adoption.
14. With at least 3 years UK or Ireland experience
