Location: Bristol or Exeter (Hybrid working)
Working Pattern: Full‑time
Why this role matters: This hybrid opportunity blends administrative and PA support with hands‑on paralegal experience. You’ll be part of a specialist team supporting charity and private clients with probate, estate administration and related matters—helping ensure work is managed with care, accuracy and sensitivity while maintaining the highest standards of legal service and advice.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential administrative and PA support to a senior lawyer, including diary management.
* Support compliance and file‑opening formalities.
* Manage and organise files to ensure proper folder and document structures are maintained.
* Assist with financial processes including cost management and monthly invoicing.
* Update estate accounts with key asset and liability information.
* Assist with applications to the probate registry.
* Liaise with clients and beneficiaries to provide updates and respond to enquiries.
* Ensure timely handling of correspondence.
* Learn on the job about the legal and tax concepts that underpin probate and charity legacy work and assist in providing high‑quality legal advice to clients.
* Maintain sensitivity to the charity’s reputation and brand in all communications.
Qualifications
* Experience in a legal environment (probate or estate administration preferred but not essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* A proven track record of completing tasks accurately and on time.
* Confident IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Great time‑management and organisational ability.
* A flexible, collaborative approach and a commitment to outstanding client service.
