East Coast Viners are seeking to recruit a Production Operative to join our animal feed mill (Drumlithie, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire). You will be responsible for the effective manufacturing, storage and preparation of animal feed for distribution to farms across Scotland.
Standard Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday dayshifts required. Basic 8-hour shifts, with 12-hour shifts required during busy seasons. Shifts rotate every 2 weeks to cover both dayshift and backshift / nightshift. Flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Using a computerised system to manufacture quality feeds to company standards, achieving target throughputs and efficiency.
* Accurate weighing and preparation of feed additives.
* Taking samples of feed, ensuring physical quality and recording information accurately.
* Operating industrial vehicles to support manufacturing, storage and distribution.
* Working effectively as part of a team and communicating clearly to ensure orders are met.
* Ensuring safe practices are followed and regulations adhered to.
* Routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and working areas.
* Assisting the engineering team with maintenance tasks and breakdowns as required.
A full UK driving licence is essential. Industrial vehicle experience desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Salary dependent on experience.
