Job Description
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Where the successful candidate is a current employee of a local authority, the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of Dundee City Council. Where the successful candidate is a current employee of an NHS employer, the post will be offered under the terms and conditions of NHS Tayside. If the successful candidate is not currently employed by a local authority or NHS employer, they will be given the choice of the appropriate employer.

Requirements
You will be educated to degree level and/or have equivalent work experience in a senior management role within a complex, publicly accountable organization. Completion of a recognized leadership or management programme, or extensive experience supporting management development and leadership, is also required.
Responsibilities
This role involves leading the operational, strategic, and professional management of a multifunctional range of Mental Health and Learning Disability Assessment and Support services within the Health and Social Care Partnership. You will collaborate with the Head of Health & Community Care and Lead professional advisors to ensure service delivery aligns with statutory, policy, professional, and regulatory standards.
The services cover health and social care for adults with diverse needs, provided in their homes and community settings. Responsibilities include direct service delivery, commissioning, strategic development, operational management, policy implementation, and service transformation.
You will develop transformation plans and performance frameworks to meet key targets and support organizational change, contributing to the wider health and social care strategy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective engagement with staff, stakeholders, and the public.
The Individual
You should have significant management experience, including staff and resource management, budget oversight, and partnership working. Experience in organizational development, team building, service redesign, and change management is essential. You must demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to analyze data, manage finances, and make effective decisions. Flexibility to work across the geographical area of the Health and Social Care Partnership is required, along with appropriate professional registration and operational availability.
