Job Description
Based near Lisburn, our client is a successful manufacturing business who are currently on the market for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
The successful Health & Safety Manager will manage the health and safety function within the plant, working with all business units ensuring that health and safety is a key priority in all areas.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure line managers and other relevant personnel are trained in respect of legislative requirements.
· Ensure employees can perform their duties in a safe environment, taking direct action to prevent potential accidents or incidents.
· Analyse statistics to identify underlying trends and patterns.
· Carry out regular safety audits and risk assessments in all areas and on all machinery and equipment
· By continuous improvement aim for an accident-free safe working environment.
· Keep up to date with developments and ensure company compliance.
Criteria :
· Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. (Nebosh or NVQ) with previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
· A working knowledge of Health and Safety management improvement systems & techniques.
· Experience of producing risk assessments and carrying out H&S audits
· Previous experience liaising with regulators i.e. HSENI
Salary is up to £50k depending upon experience. Benefits include pension, excellent holidays and an early Friday finish.
