The Role

The Social Media Assistant provides support to the Social Media Lead and Brand Communications team and facilitates the smooth operation of the department, contributing to the long-term growth of the business.


Responsibilities

* Contribute to the creation of social media marketing material, ensuring a high level of quality and alignment with wider marketing activity.
* Act as a central point of contact for Social, liaising with agency partners and internal stakeholders on projects.
* Support the Social Media Lead across Kia’s social activity including quarterly campaigns, content review, influencer management and photoshoot planning.
* Lead on performance reporting, gathering results and insights from relevant platforms and stakeholders to supply to senior leadership and the wider global organisation.
* Assist with managing large budgets, reconciling against marketing activity.
* Liaise with other marketing teams (such as Web, CRM, Events, Fleet and Product), as well as various agencies to ensure consistency of process and clear outputs.


About You

* Studying a relevant degree (e.g. Marketing, Digital Media or Business‑related subject)
* Able to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Passionate and hard‑working, open to developing knowledge and skills.
* Proactive, taking the initiative to develop fresh approaches and new ideas.

Location/Travel

The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton‑on‑Thames, just a 5‑minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on‑site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports. There is step‑free access throughout the building, but please let us know if you require any additional accessibility support and we will cater to your needs as best we can.
