Arabelle Solutions seeks a Production Supervisor to lead production operations focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.


Responsibilities

* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols.
* Ensure that products meet quality standards by implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols throughout the production process.
* Analyse production workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
* Oversee training and coaching of employees, providing development opportunities.
* Set and manage production budgets and hold teams accountable for performance.
* Manage developing apprentices to future‑proof the business.
* Work flexible hours across shift rotations; weekend work on a rotation basis between the supervisor team.


Essential Requirements

* 2-3 years experience in a heavy manufacturing or production environment with a strong understanding of production processes and machinery.
* Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
* Ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
* Familiarity with production management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory control.
* Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within a heavy manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
* Minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical/Electro‑mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with various manufacturing machinery and tools; Steam Turbine product knowledge advantageous.
* Experience or knowledge of Lean principles within manufacturing.
* Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field (advantage).

* Excellent IT skills with strong knowledge of the M365 software suite.
* Strong organizational and leadership abilities with an understanding of business, finance and management principles.
* Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence and lead teams.
