Overview
Project Selborne is a transformational training programme aimed at modernising Royal Navy training. The Training Delivery Instructor (Electrical and Mechanical Workshops) will deliver practical workshop techniques to Royal Navy students in Phase2 and 3 career courses. The role is term‑time only (45 weeks per year) with holidays at Christmas, Easter and August. Salary is pro‑rated based on a full‑time equivalent of £40,000, with statutory leave and bank holidays. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level is required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver practical workshop techniques to Royal Navy students in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
* Teach up to 16 students per class.
* Work collaboratively with Learning & Development and a team of 10 instructors.
* Support continuous improvement and learning initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in electrical testing, hand tools, soldering, and tool handling.
* Results‑oriented with ability to support quality and delivery improvements.
* Team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams.
* Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and ability to support solution delivery.
Desirable Qualifications
* Level4 teaching certificate or equivalent.
* Teaching, instructing, or coaching experience.
