Senior Category Manager - IT & Technology | £80,000 to £95,000 | 12% Cash allowance | 10% bonus | healthcare | 10% non contribution pension | PLUS Final salary pension | many more benefits | Central London - Flexible working range to suit | Global Financial Services business A brand new role working for a highly reputable, interesting and unique financial services business who operate across UK, Europe and Asia, to join an existing IT Category Management team, supporting on a wide range of BAU, strategic and project spend. Full IT & Technology category exposure, including: Software, Digital, Media, SaaS, Networks and IS Professional Services. You will engage with C-suite stakeholders in your assigned category, so deep supplier market knowledge is key. Ideal person, will have experience working for large global, complex and corporate companies where high levels of complex spend have been managed. Role and responsibilities: Create IT strategy through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings Develop group wide category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationships On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency Experience and requirements: Deep technical category experience within Technology & IT Ideally Financial or Professional Services industry experience, but not essential Previous experience working on complex global projects, dealing with Tier 1 suppliers of significant values Confident in engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders, and across various regions A highly strategic mindset when approaching procurement, suppliers and business needs Will have a track record of IT category management, effecting change and continuous improvement through implementation of innovative category strategies Excellent communications skills when dealing with contacts in different cultures and countries Able to adapt in a very fast paced, continuously changing environment MCIPS qualified, nice to have but not essential
