Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Ensure all dishes are presented attractively before serving to guests.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting is essential.
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance in the kitchen.
* Previous experience in serving customers is advantageous.
