About the role
The role of D365 Functional Consultant is key to enabling ARO to achieve its business goals by ensuring its people are best supported through smarter workflows and great systems, along with business transformation that delivers value.
The role focuses primarily on continuously improving ARO Prospect to Order process, which utilises D365 CRM. You will support the life-cycle of process improvement from issue analysis and as-is process, though business benefit and target processes, to implementation including documentation, training, system development, and then monitoring and continuous improvement.
You will be part of the ARO central services team, focused on projects which will deliver the greatest benefit to ARO. You will work with key stakeholders and the teams responsible for operating ARO processes, ensuring at every stage that they are engaged to make the project a success.
Objectives:
* Develop a single Prospect to Order platform that enables the business to “fly”;
* Migrate of all in-scope business units and users onto a common platform.
* Work with the sales and marketing community to deliver process and system improvements that increase sales conversion rates and reduce sales admin time.
* Use self-service, AI, automation and process efficiencies to reduce the cost to serve and improve customer and user satisfaction.
What you’ll do
* Identify the issue and benefit: Collect and analyze data to measure process error rates, calculate the planned benefit, and set target KPIs for future process success.
* Business Process Expert: Become a subject matter expert on core ARO sales and marketing processes, so you are best placed to understand issues, the implications of proposed changes, and provide stewardship to ensure the integrity of core ARO processes.
* Process Mapping: Chart out current processes to identify inefficiencies, and future processes to solve the issues.
* Solution Design: Develop and propose solutions to meet business needs, including system enhancements and process changes. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify requirements and validate solutions.
* Functional requirement: Prepare detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
* Build and deploy CRM enhancements: including custom tables, forms, workflows, Power Automate flows, and plugins.
* Test and validation: To ensure they meet business requirements.
* Documentation and training; Ensure effective adoption of new CRM processes.
* Monitor CRM performance; gather feedback, and drive ongoing enhancements.
* Data quality; Work with Head of Data to drive data quality improvements
* CRM support; Provide support, manage releases across environments, and ensure compliance with ARO change governance.
* Manage day to day operation; including user access, security, performance and maintenance.
* User Incidents and Requests: Manage CRM-related user requirements with functional consultant.
What we are looking for?
Essential:
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (functional and technical).
* Demonstrated experience in process mapping, process control, and improvement, ideally within a consulting or operational environment.
* Proven ability to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into clear, actionable CRM solutions.
* Experience with Power Platform including Power Automate and Power Apps.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
* Strong stakeholder management.
* Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
* Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, Power Platform, SQL.
* Familiarity with Agile development.
Desirable:
* Experience with C# or .NET for plugin development.
* Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer certification.
* Experience integrating CRM with other business systems.
* Understanding of ISO27001 aligned operational and security controls.
