Job Overview
To provide high-profile, visible, responsive, clinical, and managerial leadership with accountability for service delivery and advice in and out of hours. The post holder will have Trust-wide responsibility for leading and coordinating an evidence-based capacity management service, promoting a dynamic flow of patients through the Trust. The goal is to optimise the use of capacity while ensuring the best environment for patient care to facilitate the Trust in delivering high-quality services.
The successful candidate must be able to make informed decisions across all specialties and scopes of professional practice, involving patients and the public to ensure standards and objectives are met. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for escalation of acutely ill patients, providing supportive advice and guidance to multi-professional teams. They will handle clinical and non-clinical incidents and emergencies, escalating issues to senior management and on-call management within defined pathways.
