Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected national training provider, to recruit a Key Account Manager – Sales (Commercial Training) for a full-time, permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, market-leading organisation that delivers a wide range of vocational, compliance, and funded training programmes across the UK. The successful candidate will manage key client relationships, drive business growth, and ensure exceptional customer service within the construction and commercial training sectors. Key Responsibilities for the Key Accounts Manager role: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact. • Proactively promote the company’s range of commercial and funded training courses to new and existing clients. • Identify and develop new business opportunities through telesales and client engagement. • Understand client training needs and provide tailored solutions to support their business goals. • Upsell and cross-sell training services, qualifications, and accreditations. • Ensure compliance with relevant construction training standards (e.g. CSCS, CITB, NVQs). • Maintain accurate records on the internal CRM system and produce reports as required. • Collaborate with the wider business development team to expand the client base. • Stay informed on sector trends, legislation, and emerging requirements. Candidate Requirements for the Key Accounts Manager role: • Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within the construction or training sector. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/marketing databases. • Strong analytical and project management skills. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. • A passion for providing exceptional customer service. • Experience in the further education sector and GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths would be advantageous.
