An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley Prisons for the position of Pharmacy Technician. This post will cover all 3 NHS Forth Valley prisons.
The successful candidate must have the Diploma in Pharmacy Services qualification.
The role of The Pharmacy Technician is to:-
1. Undertake the provision of a range of technical pharmaceutical services within the area of responsibility under the direction of the Pharmacist who also provides clinical support and professional guidance.
2. Work alongside other members of the team to provide the cost effective use of medicines.
3. Comply with relevant procedures, standards and guidelines, Health and Safety at Work and COSHH regulations.
4. Ensure compliance with professional registration and Continuing Professional Development.
5. Assist with training and the supervision of less experienced staff as necessary to ensure a working knowledge of systems and processes is in place.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
