You will support the EMEA Competition Section and International Trade Practice Group, leading the practice’s knowledge strategy and keeping teams ahead of key trade and customs developments. This includes sanctions, export controls, tariffs, trade defence investigations, free trade agreements, and related EU/UK legislation. The role combines thought leadership, training, knowledge creation, and innovation, and can be based in either the London or Brussels office.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal and practical expertise, including supporting client work and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Deliver targeted internal training and identify development needs.
• Monitor and communicate important legal and regulatory developments.
• Produce client alerts, newsletters, and thought-leadership materials.
• Manage precedents and know-how across KM systems.
• Support business development and contribute to innovation initiatives.
Who This Suits
A qualified lawyer with at least six years’ post-qualification experience and strong international trade and customs expertise, whether from private practice, government, or in-house.
