The Role
* Keep up to date with HSE legislation and ensure compliance
* Meet safety KPIs and performance targets
* Manage potential incidents and promote a proactive safety culture
* Maintain and review risk assessments regularly
* Oversee chemical register, COSHH, and safety data sheets
* Support departments with HSE assessments (PUWER, REBA, PCA)
* Monitor safety equipment (eye wash stations, spill kits, first aid areas)
* Prepare HSE reports and dashboards
* Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
* Manage hazardous materials and coordinate safe removal
* Deliver safety training and inductions
* Ensure accurate HSE records and legal compliance
* Conduct audits and inspections
The Person
* Experience in a Health & Safety role (ideally in fast‑paced environments)
* Strong organisation, communication, and ability to prioritise under pressure
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team
* Proactive with a willingness to learn
* Strong interpersonal skills and integrity
* Able to collaborate across teams and functions
* Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
