Semi Senior or Senior, Trusts & Estates

The role

Are youlooking to take the next step in your career? Are you already working in the Trust & Estates arena? We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Semi Senior or Senior to join our Trusts & Estates team in either our Bristol or Weymouth office.

Our Trusts & Estates team act for trustees, executors and beneficiaries, managing over 600 trusts and providing support across the full spectrum of estate and succession matters. We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in this area, or from those eager to build a career in trusts and estates work. This opportunity may interest those already working in tax, accounts or law.

This is a fantastic chance to broaden your expertise, develop your technical knowledge, and take on increasing responsibility in a supportive team. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in aspects of trust and estate compliance and administration. You will work within a close team who prepare annual accounts/tax returns as well as inheritance tax planning. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with clients, professional advisers and family members - building strong relationships.

Your key responsibilities may include:

* Managing a portfolio of trusts and/or estates, ensuring accurate and timely administration
* Supporting junior members of the team
* Preparing trust and estate accounts, income tax returns, inheritance tax forms and related calculations
* Supporting executors with estate administration and probate requirements
* Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, solicitors and investment managers
* Assisting senior colleagues with succession and estate planning projects
* Providing clear, practical guidance to clients in a professional and empathetic manner

What we need from you

Ideally you will:

* Have 2 to 3 years' practice experience, preferably in trusts, estates or private client work
* Be a confident and collaborative team player
* Show excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
* Have strong attention to detail, discretion and a proactive approach

We'll support your professional growth with a clear career path and full encouragement for further study, including STEP qualifications, so you can continue to progress and specialise in this rewarding area of practice.

If your experience isn't a complete match but you feel you could bring a lot to AG, we'd still encourage you to apply so that we can learn more about you

What we can give you in return

We offer a fantastic place to work with a competitive and flexible benefits package. This includes:

* A minimum of 25 days holiday which increases with length of service. Plus the option to buy and sell holiday
