Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and communication:
1. Lead by setting a good example
2. Act as an interface between the team and others in the business
3. Clear delivery of key messages to the team (including an explanation of any goals, plans and roles)
4. Manage recruitment with the assistance of HR; ensuring a successful induction process for new starters
Objectives/Goal Setting:
5. Clearly communicate required tasks, agree on deadlines and monitor achievement
6. Set and agree on SMART objectives for individuals/teams and monitor performance against these
Performance Management and Training:
7. Manage and conduct appraisal process with team members
8. Provide regular constructive feedback to individuals and the team regarding their performance Address performance issues quickly, candidly, and constructively
9. Manage capability and conduct issues and develop opportunities for the team
10. Absence management with company policy; to include sickness and annual leave
11. Responsible for HSE compliance and improvement activities for the Team.
Team Specific Responsibilities:
12. Manage the purchasing process (demand generation, PO generation and approval, expedition)
13. Manage stock ROP/supplier lead times to ensure materials are available for production as
14. required
15. Monitor & improve supplier performance (quality, service, cost and delivery)
16. Maintain supplier and part records on ERP system
17. Identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities
18. Research new products, services & suppliers to meet company strategies and goals
19. Accurately maintain the supplier database
20. Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing and distributing goods and
21. maintaining stock levels
22. Ensure supply chains are sustainable and ethical
23. Liaise with internal stakeholders (sales, production) to deal with supply issues
Qualifications & Experience:
24. Must be CIPS qualified/working towards
25. Demonstrable experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role
26. Demonstrable supervisory or people management experience
27. Desirable:
28. A level of experience and understanding of filters, their performance, and their operating environment
29. Experience in a manufacturing environment
