Job Title: Lighting & Electronics Production Supervisor Location: Trojan Lighting Solutions Ltd, Unit 2 Sandwash Business Park, Rainford Industrial Estate, WA11 8LY Reports To: Technical Manager Role Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the lighting and electronics production team, ensuring products are assembled, tested and prepared in line with company processes, quality standards and delivery requirements.
The role combines hands-on production work with team leadership, supporting staff development, maintaining performance standards and ensuring efficient workflow across the production environment.
This role is subject to a probationary period and the duties may vary in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Supervision
* Oversee and support a team of electronics and production operatives
* Allocate work and manage daily production activities
* Monitor performance and output to meet deadlines
* Provide guidance and support on the shop floor
* Support effective communication across the team
* Follow and enforce all company H&S policies and procedures
* Work on the shop floor carrying out assembly, wiring and soldering tasks
* Ensure all work is completed in line with technical drawings and specifications
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and consistency
* Quality Control
* Ensure products meet company quality and safety standards
* Monitor production quality and address any issues
* Identify faults and implement corrective actions
* Production Planning & Coordination
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow
* Assist in planning production schedules and priorities
* Ensure materials and resources are available for production Person Specification Essential
* Experience in a supervisory role within an electronics or manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of electronics and assembly processes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks Desirable
* Experience within LED lighting or similar industry
* Soldering and electronic assembly experience
* Experience in performance management and staff development
* Familiarity with production planning processes
