Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.
We are seeking a hard-working individual to join our Plant team to work with our machinery and in our workshop. Ensuring that equipment is clean and prepped ready to go out to customers.
Responsibilities for the job role:
* Maintenance and cleanliness of the yard and workshop areas
* Cleaning & pressure washing of plant and equipment
* Assisting personnel with their day-to-day duties
* Inspect plant and equipment during off-hire periods for any damage
* Prepare plant and equipment ready for hire including the fuelling of machinery
* Moving plant and equipment in the yard and workshop - some heavy lifting may be required
* Carry out deliveries and collections to customer sites
* Assisting personnel with their day-to-day duties
* Work within a team and contributing towards teamwork
