The project controller supports Project Managers by managing cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting data. They also assist the Project Planning and Controls Lead in providing project information for the Southern Water Capital Programme, covering work by the Capital Water and Wastewater teams. The role involves supporting Project Managers within these portfolios and working as part of a team of Project Controllers and Planners supporting a Portfolio.
Key Activities:
1. Collate, analyze, and present information to support Portfolio insights and corporate reporting, aiding investment decisions.
2. Ensure programmes and plans are in place for effective delivery, including financial and schedule forecasting.
3. Produce baseline programmes for delivery, prioritizing interventions within a robust commercial framework.
4. Standardize processes and procedures, ensuring compliance and governance across project, programme, and portfolio activities, adhering to investment policies.
Knowledge/Experience:
* Experience in a Project, Programme, or Portfolio Management environment, preferably within the Water Industry.
* Proficiency with programme and portfolio management tools and techniques.
* Recognized accreditation such as MSP or P30, and experience with Primavera or similar planning tools (preferred).
* Commercial acumen and strategic thinking across the portfolio.
* Experience working with senior stakeholders.
* Teamwork and collaborative behaviors.
* Openness to challenge and continuous development.
* Effective communication skills.
* Resilience under pressure and adaptability to change.
* Strong data analysis skills.
