Responsibilities
* Help customers with daily living tasks to build independence and achieve their goals.
* Support customers in activities like cooking, shopping, budgeting, and maintaining tenancies, as well as taking part in hobbies and interests or attending college or work.
* Assist with personal care, medication, appointments, hobbies, college, or work.
* Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
* Spend quality time with customers; chats, cuppas, and collaborative support with colleagues.
Qualifications and requirements
* A Level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care, or willingness to work towards this.
* Passion to support customers to live their best life, with attention to detail.
* Experience of caring for others (care sector experience or caring for family members or children).
* Experience of working on own initiative, staying calm under pressure, and maintaining a resilient approach.
* Flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognizing every customer is different.
* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage is paid.
* An Enhanced DBS check is required (we pay for it).
Whats in it for you / About the role
Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week) in Morpeth. Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum) plus 34 days leave and a health cash plan. We operate in a Good registered CQC service and support customers with complex needs to develop skills for living more independently in the community.
