We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join as our first full-time technology hire.
As a Software Engineer, you will bridge strategy and implementation, ensuring project execution combines strategic insights with tech solutions. You should bring curiosity, analytical rigor, creativity, and strategic thinking. This is a cross-functional role with high growth potential - the ideal candidate will be highly driven and enjoy wearing multiple hats (Engineering, Product, Data).
Must Haves:
* UK based: remote role open only to candidates within the UK
* STEM degree: from a top research university, preferably in London or Oxbridge
* Engineering mindset: committed to building robust, best-practice software
* Client-facing: able to gather requirements and feedback as needed

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain web, front-end, and data visualization applications
* Produce performant, well-tested, scalable code
* Assist with deploying software into consulting solutions
* Understand trade-offs between engineering solutions
* Maintain clear documentation
Technical Expertise:
* Experience in software engineering, preferably in Life Sciences
* Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design
* Proficiency in languages like Python (preferred), Java, C++
* Familiar with DevOps/CloudOps practices: TDD, CI/CD
* Desirable: Azure, NoSQL, machine learning, data engineering, data visualization
