We are working with a large Private Equity firm, helping them secure a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to step into a broad group finance role at a highly regarded international investment platform.
You will join a collaborative team in London and report to the Group Financial Controller in a position that offers a strong mix of core financial reporting, statutory work and commercially useful analysis. The role sits across the UK entity accounting structure feeding into group consolidation, giving the successful candidate visibility across both the detail of underlying accounts preparation and the bigger-picture reporting process at group level. Responsibilities will include supporting the preparation and review of management accounts, variance analysis across multiple cost centres, budgeting and forecasting, statutory accounts under IFRS, and year-end audit delivery.
In addition, the role offers exposure to ongoing finance change activity, including process improvement, reporting enhancements and system-related work, making it an attractive opportunity for someone who wants more than a purely BAU accounting role. Over time, there is clear scope to broaden out further and take on increasing responsibility around consolidation and wider group reporting.
We are looking for an accountant with 3-6 years of experience (can be PQ to NQ) with strong accounts preparation experience and ideally gained in a financial services environment (or with financial services clients). The key requirements are strong financial accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while working closely with stakeholders.
The firm is known for having an exceptional culture, low turnover and strong performance. They are offering a generous base / bonus / benefits package (will vary depending on experience). This role would suit someone looking to move into a broader group finance position with clear long-term progression. They are in the office 4-5 days a week.
