Overview

TKMS ATLAS UK have designed their Engineering Graduate Programme to support those with a passion for Engineering to grow into the next generation of specialists to develop cutting-edge maritime technology for worldwide customers and the UK Royal Navy.


Responsibilities

* Contributing to research and development activities across sonar and underwater platform signature domains
* Supporting the development of hardware, software and sensing systems
* Assisting with signal processing, data analysis and algorithm development
* Carrying out modelling and simulation of underwater environments and system behaviour
* Working with signal processing, image analysis, data science and machine learning
* Developing detection and classification algorithms
* Analysing acoustic and non-acoustic data
* Simulating and modelling the physics of sonar systems and generation and propagation of acoustic and non-acoustic signatures in the underwater environment
* Test and measurement of acoustic and non-acoustic systems, including those on in-service submarine sonars
* Producing technical reports and documentation to support projects and bids
* Undertake occasional UK and overseas travel to support projects

* A degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline
* An interest in science, engineering or the marine environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work effectively within a team and build professional relationships
* Good organisation and time-management skills
* Confidence using standard IT tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
