Internal Product - Business Partnerships - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Hybrid)

Role: Application Analyst - Business Partnerships

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)

Reporting to: Business Systems Manager


The Role

The Product Development team plays a pivotal role in delivering the overall digital experience for customers, consumers, and colleagues underpinning the Rightmove business. We recognise that to deliver the best products and features for our consumers, customers, and colleagues, we need to work effectively as a high-performing team. We work collaboratively across product and centralised teams, aligning with Rightmove’s strategy.

The Application Analyst role is within one of our Internal Product Teams providing digital solutions to Rightmove’s internal teams. The role involves working with a SCRUM product team, collaborating with the Product Owner, Software, and QA Engineers to analyze business problems and deliver technical solutions. The Application Analyst will implement solutions through configuration of business applications (third-party or developed by Rightmove) and low-code solutions to meet user and business needs.

This role reports to the Business Systems Manager and works closely with application and platform engineers, Product Owners, Architects, and Operations team members.


Typical Weekly Tasks

* Engaging with teams to identify how technology can solve challenges and leverage opportunities.
* Participating in meetings with the product team to discuss business challenges and solutions.
* Sharing progress regularly to gather feedback from end users.
* Assisting with testing developed by Software Engineers to meet sprint deadlines.
* Using scripts to extract data from databases to inform decision-making.
* Building low-code workflows and customizations within CRM systems to enhance sales enablement.
* Writing SQL to modify data within business applications.
* Developing automation templates to improve operational efficiency.
* Using UiPath RPA platform to automate manual tasks.


Candidate Profile

Essential Skills:

* Creative and logical problem-solving passion with a tech focus.

* Clear communication and questioning skills.
* Ability to debate and challenge team directions constructively.
* Ownership and responsibility for work quality.
* Curiosity and willingness to learn from others.
* Knowledge sharing skills.

* Ability to deliver quickly in an agile environment.

Technical Skills:

* Intermediate to advanced skills in tools like Microsoft Excel or Access.
* Experience understanding and using software platforms to implement changes.
* Basic understanding of SQL.
* Track record of learning new technologies.
* Confidence in manipulating and analyzing large datasets.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience improving internal processes.
* Knowledge of BPMN and workflow development.
* Experience with low-code in CRM systems like SugarCRM or Salesforce.
* Robotic process automation experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
* Familiarity with collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRA.
* Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
