As Head of Commercial, you will lead and develop our Commercial function, reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer. You’ll take the lead on all aspects of contract and commercial management – from overseeing the financial components of bids and tenders to building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation. This is a high-impact role where your strategic leadership will drive the delivery of a wide range of commercial clinical services. You’ll lead on the commercial, legal, and procurement dimensions of our work – including business case development, contractor appointments, programme financial oversight, demand and capacity modelling, and robust contract management. You will also play a central role in building a skilled and forward-thinking commercial function that supports our managers and staff to deliver high-quality, sustainable services to the communities we serve. If you are an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in healthcare or public sector finance, and you thrive in a values-driven organisation that puts people at the heart of everything it does – we’d love to hear from you. Leading the contracts team in contract development, contract negotiation using persuasiveness and contract management. Deliver efficient procurements utilising existing routes to market and running effective tenders in the market. Working with the Finance team who will provide the financial support for costing of bids and tenders and to develop and monitor project budgets forecasts and expenditure, using internal information as intelligence which will be sensitive in nature. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements while maintaining the highest standards for quality and compliance. Implement and manage all contracts with third-party contractors, vendors, consultants, and suppliers. Ensure contracts are executed efficiently, comply with legal and regulatory requirements and mitigate risks to the project. Full Duties Contained Within The Attached Job Description.
