Contract Opportunity: Senior CE&I Engineer - Sellafield Projects
£46-50 per hour (Inside IR35)
On-site - Sellafield/ West Cumbria Design Office / Warrington
Hours: 37 hours per week over 4½ days
Security Clearance: SC required
We are seeking an experienced CE&I Senior Design Engineer to join the Silos MSSS SEP1 & SEP2 programme, working as part of a highly skilled, site-based CE&I design team supporting a major nuclear facility.
The Role
This is a site-focused design support role, providing front-line engineering input to Commissioning teams. You will be responsible for delivering and checking high-quality CE&I designs and design changes that meet functional, safety and business requirements.
Please note: implementation, testing and commissioning activities are undertaken by separate dedicated site teams and are outside the scope of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide site-based front-line CE&I design support to Commissioning teams
Deliver detailed CE&I designs and design changes
Support the delivery of designs by others and carry out design checking and verification
Ensure designs meet functional, regulatory and business requirements
Communicate effectively with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders
Actively support and mentor early career engineersLocation & Working Pattern
Minimum 3 days per week on the MSSS plant
When not on plant, minimum 3 days per week from a West Cumbria-based design office
Attendance at Hinton House, Warrington approximately 1 day per monthEssential Requirements
Academic Qualification: Minimum HND
Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineer
