Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Rosebery Estates, a growing collection of hospitality venues including Barnbougle Castle, The Walled Garden at Dalmeny, The Water Tower self-catering accommodation, and Dalmeny House (opening as a venue with accommodation in late 2027). The portfolio also includes Rosebery House and Rosebery Steading (Gorebridge in Midlothian, on the outskirts of Edinburgh).
As General Manager of Rosebery Estates Venues, you will be commercially accountable for the development and delivery of the estate’s business strategy, budgeting, financial management and operations of the business. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful running of the venues.
This is a hands-on General Manager role which requires the General Manager to enjoy working operationally together with the team.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for providing leadership and encouraging good communication and organisation across all departments, liaising with the in-house venue teams and wider estate team, external caterers and other external suppliers, whilst demonstrating a positive attitude, excellent presentation, and professional manner in all that you do.
You will reflect the Rosebery brand and ethos in your approach to work.
The GM will work closely with and report to the Estate Factor and the Rosebery Estates Board, bringing together all the attributes the estate has to offer to build a truly unique business in keeping with its history and surroundings.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership across all departments and ensure effective communication and organisation
* Oversee budgeting, financial management and operational delivery for the venues
* Collaborate with in-house teams, external caterers and suppliers to deliver high-quality guest experiences
* Model the Rosebery brand and ethos in all activities
Key skills and experience
* Demonstrable experience as a General Manager with hospitality leadership and experience in the hotel or exclusive use venue sector
* Robust commercial acumen with the ability to plan budgets, drive sales and control costs
* Experience delivering events across corporate, retreats, private celebrations and weddings
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
* Friendly, enthusiastic personality with a hands-on operational approach
* Full driving license
