Shepherd Neame is looking for a part-time Chef to join our kitchen team. If you are a new or aspiring chef seeking a fresh challenge and aiming to develop your career in the kitchen, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Located in Bearstead, near Maidstone, the Oak on the Green is situated on one of England's most picturesque village greens. Established in 1665, the pub has hosted notable visitors such as Baroness Orczy, creator of the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Kent's famous spin bowler Alfred Percy 'Tich' Freeman. Today, the Oak on the Green is celebrated for its use of locally sourced ingredients across a diverse menu featuring British and Mexican cuisines.
We believe that excellent chefs are essential to a successful kitchen. In this role, you will work as part of our friendly and supportive team to provide a memorable dining experience for our customers.
Previous catering experience is advantageous, but if you lack experience, don’t worry. If you love food, are confident, motivated, and a team player, we can train you and teach you everything you need to know.
