Role Purpose
To deliver comprehensive care for women and their families within women’s health, undertaking a holistic approach to the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients referred to the gynaecology and endometriosis service. The post holder works closely with other health‑care professionals from primary and secondary care settings and collaborates with both hospital and community teams to provide specialist advice, support and education.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on and facilitate the provision of high‑quality, specialist nursing care to women seen within the gynaecology service at CUH.
* Maintain a research‑based plan of care for each patient, ensuring assessments, diagnostic decisions and recommendations for ongoing care are recorded.
* Provide diagnostics, treatment, support and advice to women and their families attending the Trust, as inpatient or outpatient.
* Act as a resource to other professionals on gynaecology and associated treatments and issues, encompassing clinical, consultative, teaching, leadership, research and audit functions.
Clinical Duties
* Run a nurse‑led clinic, taking detailed history of symptoms and requesting/carrying out investigations such as blood tests, pelvic ultrasound and MRI scans.
* Receive direct referrals to the clinic and follow up patients as required.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides community and specialist services across a range of clinics, with Croydon University Hospital being one of the busiest sites in London. Our teams include district nursing, Allied Health Professionals and community matrons who support people of all ages.
