We are seeking a dedicated Senior Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly and professional pharmacy team at the Lister Hospital.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will be responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within our Trust through the provision of a safe, efficient and cost effective medicines management service.

You will work under the supervision of the Lead Medicine Management Pharmacy Technician to assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe, efficient and cost effective medicines management programme.
To supervise the Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistant (MMPAs) team at the Lister Hospital.
To support the Medicine Management Pharmacy Technician (MMPTs) and Pharmacists and nurses at ward level to provide medicines management services.
To produce and implement policies and procedures in line with medicines management process for wards/area.
To participate and assist in the development of the medicines management service on the wards.
Work collaboratively with the Patient Safety team, clinical services, frontline staff and managers to identify opportunities for improving medicines management compliance across the organisation.
To oversee/co‑coordinate and monitor the safety and security process of medicines storage in all areas within the hospital and implement policies, propose changes to working practices.
To assist with the training of Pharmacy technicians, pre‑registration trainee pharmacy technicians, MMPAs, junior pharmacists, nursing staff and other health care professionals in the medicines management process.
To supervise and co‑coordinate the MMPAs to respond to urgent supply issues and queries as required.
