What’s the job about?
* Lead the site engineering teams to deliver engineering and production plans, service levels, and strategies within quality, safety, and cost parameters.
* Implement and drive engineering strategies to improve reliability, quality, safety, and asset utilization.
* Apply best practice maintenance principles for SHE, capital projects, and asset care.
* Manage engineering systems, structures, resources, and processes.
* Assist in planning manufacturing assets and maintenance proactively.
* Oversee the engineering stores system to ensure critical spares availability and stock control.
* Deliver engineering KPIs aligned with manufacturing performance and company objectives.
* Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Coach and develop direct reports, monitoring performance and supporting personal development.
* Manage projects and lead change initiatives.
* Act as deputy for the Engineering Manager.
What skills are you going to bring to the team?
* Engineering qualifications (apprenticeship or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment.
* Experience leading engineering teams.
* IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Experience with CMMS and stock control systems.
* Proficiency with engineering KPIs and performance metrics.
* Project management and change leadership experience (desired).
* Knowledge of OEE and lean manufacturing techniques (preferred).
