TECHNOLOGY FOR INDEPENDENCE COORDINATOR Style Acre is an Oxfordshire based charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. We have an exciting and innovative opportunity to work with the IT manager, Head of Speech and Language Therapy and people we support to improve quality of life and independence through the use of assistive technology. The role is for 14 hours per week at £9,175.60 per annum. Please see job description below: PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To build and continually develop a library of resources and details of appropriate technology and devices to improve quality of life, communication and independence. 2. To carry out technology for independence assessments for those identified in conjunction with the IT manager and Head of Speech and Langage Therapy. 3. To liase with technology companies who provide equipment. 4. To install and train people on the use of equipment 5. To respond to operational teams when equipment requires attention or repair. 6. To maintain suitable records of equipment, it’s location and required servicing etc. 7. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature and level of responsibility which may be required by your employer. 8.
