About the Role
We are inviting applications for an Information & Engagement Support Officer post, based within the Information & Engagement Team, Corporate & Legal Services Directorate.

Responsibilities of the Information & Engagement Team include information management, answering requests for information under different legislations such as Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The purpose of this role is primarily to support the Information and Engagement Officer with the administration of information requests. It suits a fast learner or recent graduate who is computer‑literate and has a good understanding of working with digital information.
Successful candidates will be organised, enjoy multitasking, and will also assist with equalities, consultation and engagement matters.

Key Responsibilities
* Administer information requests and support the Information and Engagement Officer.
* Assist with equalities, consultation and engagement matters as required.
* Maintain electronic records and ensure compliance with legislative guidance, processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
* Basic knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
* Practical experience in dealing with correspondence, interpreting information and presenting findings in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to work to deadlines and comply with legislative guidance and procedures.
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude, with tact and discretion to maintain confidentiality.
