Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join a forward-thinking manufacturing organisation at their Seaham site. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor will deliver a proactive, first-line HR service to managers and employees, supporting all aspects of employee relations, recruitment, HR systems, and training coordination. As HR Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations and fostering a positive employee experience. You will handle a range of employee relations cases, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, maintain HR data accuracy, and support training and engagement activities across a busy multi-shift environment. Key Responsibilities: * Manage low-to-moderate employee relations (ER) cases including absence, investigations, and disciplinary matters in line with company policy and UK employment law. * Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes for site-based roles, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding. * Deliver engaging site inductions and ensure all right-to-work and compliance checks are completed. * Maintain HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos) ensuring data accuracy for starters, leavers, and contractual changes. * Process monthly payroll inputs, resolve HR-related pay queries, and ensure timely documentation and records management. * Support annual training plans, scheduling and tracking completions for compliance and development training. * Contribute to engagement initiatives, surveys, and communication activities to enhance workplace culture. Skills & Experience: To succeed as an HR Advisor, you will bring: * Previous experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced, multi-shift or manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing first-line ER cases. * Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines. * Confident communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business. * Working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office. * CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards Level 5) is desirable.
