Job Description
Based at our clients operation in North London, the General Manager will report in to the Regional Director and key responsibilities will include:
3. Oversee an operation c250+ heads, including warehouse, transport and H&S functional leads.
4. Lead and motivate the team to meet company objectives and KPIs.
5. Manage budget and allocate resources effectively.
6. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
8. Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve company goals.
9. Handle customer queries in order to maintain high customer satisfaction.
10. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful General Manager will live within a commuting distance of our client's operation in North London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
11. Experience in leading large scale FMCG logistics operations.
12. A transport bias and CPC qualification is preferred.
13. A people first leadership style with an emphasis on engagement and developing others.
14. Experience of leading and delivering change on a large scale.
15. Experience of managing large and complex budgets.
16. An effective communicator that can collaborate across all levels.
17. Previous experience of managing effectively within unionised environments.
