Residential Childcare Worker (Casual) – Ref: CH05725
Salary: G6 £30,024 (pro‑rata if part‑time)
Contract: Casual (no guaranteed hours)
Location: Walsall Council – residential homes

Responsibilities
* Provide direct care for children living in the home.
* Engage with children and support them in achieving positive outcomes.
* Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, homework, garden sports, and meal preparation.
* Attend meetings, address challenging behaviour and prepare reports.
* Maintain a safe, personalised, small‑group care environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 3 residential childcare qualification or equivalent.
* Experience working in a residential sector.
* 21 years of age or older (must be four years older than the oldest resident as required by the Department for Education).
* Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance; must declare any overseas residence and supply an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) if applicable.
