Randstad Education works with many Colchester primary schools to locate qualified, engaged, and motivated teachers (QTS) on a supply basis. You will be able to work on a daily basis, but this might lead to something more permanent in the future. You might be assigned to any of the Colchester schools.
REQUIREMENTS FROM AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1. Teaching experience and qualifications - QTS is mandatory
2. Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can assist with applying for a new DBS if required)
3. Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
4. Able to reference your recent teaching work (must be able to provide 2 professional references)
5. Commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPPLY TEACHER:
12. Make certain that you manage conduct successfully in whatever classes you've been requested to teach
13. Passing on relevant information promptly and effectively within the school
14. Adhering to the assigned cover work and encouraging students to engage in and complete it
15. Taking registers, covering form periods and a variety of lessons/subjects throughout the day
16. Creating a peaceful and effective learning environment for students
17. Dealing with any difficulties that may occur in a timely and professional manner
18. Make sure you arrive on time for the school you've registered for
19. Assuring that you are consistently available for bookings beginning at 7:00 a.m. on each day that you are available for work.
20. When covering that school, adhering to appropriate school regulations
