Are you passionate about science, agriculture, and working with purpose, both in the lab and out in the field? Our clients on the lookout for a dedicated Purification Specialist to support their cutting-edge wheat breeding programme.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Assist in the preparation and submission of plant material for official trials
* Jointly complete field observations of purification material at NL-2, NL-1, and NL entries
* Shared responsibility for the harvest of single plant material
* Assist in preparation of purification material for drilling
* Assist in the running of the electrophoresis laboratory
* Execute sample preparation for various laboratory tests
* Assist with various other breeding tasks as required by the Head of Wheat Breeding
What You Bring:
* A-Level in Science (or equivalent)
* Experience in a similar field (seeds, trials, lab work etc)
* High attention to detail
We're Looking for Someone Who Is:
* Experienced in agriculture, horticulture, or laboratory settings
* Detail-driven with strong organisational and computer skills
* Comfortable working outdoors and in a lab environment
* A good communicator and thrives in a collaborative team
* Able to remain calm and focused when working under pressure
* Safety-conscious and values-focused
* Interested in all details of the purification system
* Committed to performing to a high standard
