Our client is a multi-award-winning construction business delivering high-end residential new builds, refurbishments, and extensions across Hertfordshire, London, and the Home Counties. This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven Quantity Surveyor to step into a lead role, running projects end-to-end and taking full commercial ownership within a growing, quality-focused team.
The role
As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll:
* Manage the full commercial lifecycle of residential projects from tender to final account
* Oversee budgets, cash flow, cost control, and financial reporting
* Liaise closely with Project Managers, design teams, clients, and subcontractors
* Be a client-facing lead, attending meetings and presenting cost updates
* Handle procurement, contracts (JCT), valuations, and variations
* Ensure financial targets are met and commercial risks are managed
* Help refine internal commercial systems and processes as the business grows
You’ll bring:
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within high-end residential or refurbishment projects
* Proven experience running your own jobs and managing finances independently
* Strong cost management and reporting skills
* Confident communication and client liaison ability
* Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to hit the ground running
