You will be required to attend your base location 1-2 days per week on average, as well as attending our Holborn office for team meetings. This role works within the Financial Planning and Analysis team supporting our strategic ambitions to deliver progressive return on capital employed and make balanced investment decisions. There is a requirement for the job holder to support a step change in our management reporting of capital investments and returns and support stronger insight and decision making from it and our post investment review process. This individual will be pivotal to how we govern and allocate capital within the business to deliver returns for our business. More about the role Success in this role involves supporting the creation of analytics for the business to understand and leverage Return on Capital To ensure all key stakeholders and forums are aligned to the insight generated and the implications of our choices on our returns Work with the business finance and FP&A teams to ensure the insight and decisions are actioned into our business as usual processes Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis and provide recommendations where applicable including scenario planning on Return on Capital Support upskilling and knowledge share with wider finance team to raise profile and focus on Return on Capital More about you Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Proven experience of collating, consolidating and reporting of complex data Strong commercial acumen on business case benefits and return on investment Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers Ability to effectively communicate and challenge senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen to manage financial performance Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously, build and utilise a broader cross-functional network Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever changing environment Proven ability and desire to deliver change LI-CE1 We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, so you'll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work.
