Banana Moon Day Nursery in Hounslow has been open for just over 1 month and is seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and lead the early years curriculum in a brand-new environment, providing high-quality care and education to children.
As the Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and nurturing atmosphere for our youngest learners. You will lead a team of childcare professionals, ensuring that every child receives the best start in their educational journey. This role will require innovative thinking and a hands-on approach to implementing our curriculum while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the new nursery room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate child-centered learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
* Support and guide the team, fostering professional development and best practices.
* Establish strong partnerships with parents, providing regular updates and engaging them in their child's development.
* Ensure compliance with all operational policies, health and safety regulations, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Collaborate with nursery management to drive the success and reputation of the nursery within the local community.
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
* Experience working with children in an early years setting, preferably in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Passion for working with children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in educational practices.
