Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join us at Wythenshawe. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that all planned preventative and reactive maintenance operations related to electrical services are carried out in accordance with legislation, codes of practices, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, H&SE recommendations, and are completed on time, within the programme, and within contractual response times.
What you’ll do
1. Oversee the day-to-day operation and direct management of trade staff and specialist sub-contractors.
2. Ensure all statutory and non-statutory PPM work complies with legislation, codes of practices, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, and H&SE recommendations.
3. Produce rosters to assign planned and reactive maintenance activities to DEL and sub-contractors.
4. Conduct risk assessments for each maintenance activity and perform a minimum of 5 percent checks on live and completed works.
5. Act as an onsite champion for health and safety, ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and KPIs.
6. Ensure remedial actions for repairs and PPM jobs are raised and completed; advise the Operations Manager on necessary repairs.
7. Provide fault-finding advice on systems and instruct others as needed.
8. Maintain and update all electrical PPM records and relevant documentation.
9. Assist the Operations Manager with operational and technical issues as necessary.
What you’ll bring
1. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations / Maintenance.
2. City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification.
3. Experience in supervising and managing staff and contractors.
4. Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
5. Knowledge of UPS / IPS systems, backup generators, nurse call systems, and fault finding.
6. Full UK Driving Licence.
